When Bob Tallman gets a vision, it becomes a reality within minutes. He's all about action. So when he says he has a mission and is going to dedicate his life to assisting those in need, he means it.

And to do that, in the year 2000 Tallman launched a long-term campaign by establishing his own foundation called "Bob Tallman's Charities." Based out of Houston, this 501(C) 3 organization gives the proceeds from its annual fund-raiser between two phenomenal causes: The Pediatric Programs at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and The J. Pat Evans, MD Research Foundation. His vehicle to raising the funds he gives away is accomplished through his annual golf tournament, better known as "The Pasture Pool Classic" now in it's eighth year.

"With the assistance from all of the sponsors and the golfers that come out and play, this fund-raising effort is possible, Tallman said. " All it takes is to see one child from M. D. Anderson benefit from our endeavors and that's the biggest reward I can possibly receive."
